Developments to the website now make it possible to both search the database on an ad hoc basis for repossessions, and also set up an Auction Elert to notify you when they come up for sale. Do take a look at these new features, I am confident you will find them useful.

Please note however, it is not an exhaustive list of all the repossessions that go to auction as some are not identifiable as such with no vendor being disclosed, though my research would indicate that the vast majority are included in the list.

National Auction Analysis

Taking into account post auction sales (as all our newsletters do), the success rate was 55%. This is down 14% on August 07 but very similar to July 08 (56%). The number of lots offered was up 2.5% (997 lots) on Aug 07. In addition the amount raised was up 6.4% at £79M. With none of the major London commercial auction houses holding a sale in August, the majority of the lots offered (88%) were residential.
